Overview
Bursa was the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, and its old city still carries that weight — grand mosques, a centuries-old covered silk market, and mausoleums, all set against the pine forests and ski slopes of Mount Uludağ rising directly above.
This trip pairs the city with the mountain: a ferry across the Marmara, an ATV safari in the Yalova forest, the Green Mosque and the silk bazaar, then the cable car and open chairlift up Uludağ — with snow at the summit through the winter months. Stops at a Turkish delight factory, a jam house, and a large shopping mall round out the day.
